NEW YORK--WestPoint Home has entered into an agreement with Brand Matter to produce a line of home textiles branded under Caribbean Joe.
The collection—whose design will be based on the casual looks of Caribbean Joe apparel and accessories—will include fashion bedding, bedspreads, quilts, sheets and bedding accessories, beach towels, throws and kitchen products. It is slated to launch at retail in late fall 2010 and spring 2011, according to a joint statement from WestPoint and Brand Matter. The line’s debut will focus on Caribbean Joe’s current channels of distribution, which include department stores and specialty stores.
John Piazza, president and chief executive officer of WestPoint Home, said the collection will make its formal debut in the company’s showroom at the upcoming New York Home Fashions Market in March.
The Caribbean Joe license for home textiles was once the property of Dan River, which ceased operations two years ago.
