NEW YORK–The Waverly brand of the Iconix Brand Group has introduced its new fabric collection for 2010.
The line is divided into collections that pay tribute to the brand’s traditional floral-paisley-Jacobean orientation but offer new takes on prints and embellishments, according to Pam Maffei-Toolan, Waverly’s vice president of design.
The collections include En Route, which features inspirations from apparel and designs from Japan, Indonesia and Africa; Casual Friday, a more embellished grouping inspired by jeans and twills; and Exotic Attire, which depicts paisleys, animal-skin designs, stripes and stria textures.
Other new groupings include Sweet Escape, which employs vintage looks and shabby-chic designs to portray traditional Waverly looks such as toiles and florals; Collectible Curiosities, a collection of novelty designs of sea motifs and document florals; Brighter Days, featuring brightly colored florals, stripes and animal-skin designs; and Classic Companions, a more modern approach to florals, stripes and checks.
