NEW YORK-United Feather & Down has reached an agreement with Portico Home + Spa on a collection of environmentally friendly bedding products.

The new line is being launched at this week’s New York Home Fashions Market. It includes side, back and stomach pillows; a traditional bed pillow; a comforter; and a mattress pad. The products are made with cotton fabrics that are certified under the Global Organic Textile Standard as being 100 percent organic.

As part of the agreement, Summer Rayne Oakes—model and environmental activist and spokeswoman for the Portico brand—is  serving as the spokeswoman for this collection.

At an event yesterday introducing the line at United Feather’s showroom here, Gregg Haft, Portico’s president, said the new collection adheres to Portico’s mission to offer eco-friendly products that do not compromise on quality. “The price points on this line are comparable to non-environmentally oriented brands,” Haft said.
