DES PLAINES, Ill.--United Feather & Down has introduced Proneem, a patented and all-natural treatment for down and down-alternative fills and fabric.
An extract from the neem tree, which grows in more than 50 countries around the world, Proneem provides antiseptic, anti-viral and anti-fungal properties to these materials. According to a United Feather statement, the material has been tested to be hypoallergenic and long-lasting as a protection against bacteria and dust mites. In addition, its ingredients are based on biodegradable active components, making it safe for the environment, the statement said.
Proneem is now being offered as a treatment on all of United Feather's down and down-alternative products.
