BOSTON–The new Spring Air has reached back to the old Spring Air to fill two executive positions.
Eric Spitzer, formerly vice president of national accounts and contract sales for Spring Air in its prior incarnation, has been named senior vice president of the new Spring Air International. Spitzer’s responsibilities are to guide the company’s business development, working with both U.S. and international licensees. In addition, Bill Frame, once Spring Air’s plant manager at its Tampa, Fla., facility, has been appointed director of manufacturing services, in charge of product development, leveraging and pooling best practices, and bringing forward vendor programs and services. Both executives report to Rick Robinson, the new company’s president.
Spring Air International was formed in May, after the previous Spring Air ceased operations and closed all nine of its plants. Ed Bates, former owner of the company’s plant in Chelsea, Mass., acquired the global rights to Spring Air’s intellectual property, and is now chairman and majority shareholder. Robinson was named president in early June.
Robinson said an announcement on the new Spring Air’s corporate structure will be coming soon.
