Sol Resch, Former Fabrics Executive, Dies

NEW YORK–Sol Resch, who served in executive positions with several fabric manufacturers, has died. He was 93.

In his 56-year career, Resch served sales positions including sales manager of Marvin Fabrics, a position he retained when the company was acquired by Hanes Fabrics in 1990. He also served as a sales representative of pillows and other feather-filled products with Hauptman Fabrics. He retired in 1992.

After retirement, Resch devoted his time to charitable work for disabled veterans. He became commander of the Jewish War Veterans, post #209, in Jackson Heights/Elmhurst, Queens, N.Y.

Resch is survived by two sons, Bruce and Robert; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
