Royal Velvet “Think Pink” Robe to be Introduced for Cancer Awareness

NEW YORK–The Royal Velvet brand will launch the “Think Pink” bathrobe this fall as part of its campaign for breast-cancer awareness at certain selected stores during October, which is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The robe is part of a license agreement between Iconix Brand Group, owner of the Royal Velvet brand, and Microtex for a line of ultraplush Royal Velvet Robes. The fall launch will present robes in 10 colors, each priced to retail at $39.99. The October sales of the pink robe will be contributed to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, an organization dedicated to breast-cancer awareness and research, by Microtex.
In an Iconix statement, Carolyn D’Angelo, vice president of brand management in the company’s home division, said the Royal Velvet robe collection “adds depth to our product line,” along with benefiting breast cancer research.
