Perfect Fit Sets “Green” Manufacturing Agenda

CHARLOTTE, N.C.–In line with last week’s Earth Day, Perfect Fit Industries has set a course for reducing the amount of manufacturing materials that go into landfills.
The company said in a statement that it regularly recycles all waste fiber and face-cloth corrugated materials, bottles, cans, paper, machine oil, electronics, scrap metal, wood pallets and other items. In addition, it is taking other steps to make is manufacturing more energy-efficient, including T8 lighting, which Perfect Fit said is more efficient than fluorescent lighting. The company is also converting many of its sewing machines from alternating current to direct current.
In addition, the company said it is keeping products out of landfills by donating them to local charities, directing them to families in need in this area.
