NEW YORK–The Palace Gates knitted blanket from Andrew Morgan Collection has received the New York Home Textiles Market Week Best of Market award at the New York Gift Fair.
Made of 100 percent innova polypropelene and stain-resistant, the blanket was judged the best overall new product by a panel of editors of both trade and consumer publications in the market’s Best New Products awards. The panel also picked winners from the bed, bath, dining and home-accessories product categories.
In bedding, the winner was Cuddledown’s World’s Lightest Comforter, designed with a 100 percent combed-cotton shell and filled with 900 fill-power European white goose down. The bath-category winner was Matteo for its Ida Baby Bathrobe, which is made of quilted organic linen with low-impact dyes.
In dining, Settings by Mona took the top prize for its fringe tablecloth and chair cap, made of 100 percent cotton organdy and linen and hand-embroidered. Shades of India was the winner in the home-accessories category for its Moonbeam Cushion Cover, a cotton velvet pillow covered in different-sized mirrors, all of which are made with metallic threads.
