SEATTLE–Pacific Coast Feather has purchased two new facilities and is set to consolidate several manufacturing and distribution centers into those new locations.
The company has bought a 500,000-square-foot facility in Henderson, N.C., and will move the operations from three separate buildings into that one location. The target date for the opening is Aug. 1, and Pacific Coast Feather will gain 130,000 square feet in space when the consolidation is completed. The company has also purchased a new facility in Maquoketa, Iowa, and will consolidate the manufacturing and distribution operations of two separate buildings into this one, 240,000 square-foot space.
Combining the operations in these two communities into one space in each location “enables us to realize significant cost savings along with operating efficiencies,” said Eric Moen, president and chief executive officer of Pacific Coast Feather.
