WATERFORD, N.Y.–Robert O’Connell has been named executive vice president of sales and marketing at Soft-Tex, a manufacturer of basic bedding.
In this newly created position, O’Connell is responsible for all sales and marketing, building on Soft-Tex’s business with existing customers and establishing relationships with new customers. He reports directly to Arthur Perry, the company’s president. Soft-Tex’s product line includes bed pillows in fiber, feather and foam; mattress pads; featherbeds and fiberbeds; and memory-foam pillows and toppers.
Before joining Soft-Tex, O’Connell was vice president of sales at Sleep Innovations. Prior to that, he served as vice president of sales for the bedding division of foam products at Foamex.
