WELLESLEY, Mass.–Orchard Brands Corp. has acquired the assets of Linen Source, the direct marketer of bedding and home furnishings.

The terms of the transaction were not disclosed in a statement from Tully & Holland, an investment bank which initiated the transaction and acted as Linen Source’s advisor. The statement said Orchard Brands, a multichannel marketer of apparel and home products, purchased Linen Source “to broaden its product offering and provide a diverse selection of high-quality bedding and home-decor products to its target customer.”

Prior to the completion of the sale, Linen Source had been one of three direct-marketing companies collectively known as The Thompson Group. A second company, Casual Living USA, a marketer of women’s apparel, was sold to Boston Apparel Group earlier this month.

According to the statement, the two deals will allow Thompson to focus on its remaining business, Thompson Cigar.
