FORT MILL, S.C.–Laura Ashley Inc. has appointed Kwan Ng president, effective today. Ng succeeds Lawrence Chai, who retired yesterday.
Ng will oversee the licensing operations and business strategy for North and South America. He previously was the head of the global bath and home products brand Crabtree & Evelyn. He also spent five years as chief executive officer of Laura Ashley Holdings, PLC, in London, where he expanded the company’s home furnishings division and revamped the brand image.
“The Laura Ashley team and U.S. licensees have made significant strides moving the brand forward, while staying true to its heritage,” Ng said. “I plan to build on that momentum, providing insight for expanding our distribution and product offering.”
