NEW YORK -- Textiles companies placed a slew of ads in the October and November issues of popular shelter magazines.
The October issue of Country Home had three ads, including a two-page spread promoting the relaunch of the Martha Stewart Everyday bed and bath program at Kmart. The other two ads were for Hunter Douglas and Waverly bedding.
A two-page Calvin Klein Home ad in the opening pages of Elle Decor's October book featured one sleekly dressed bed in a stark, wood-paneled room. Other full-page textiles ads in the issue include Charisma, which showed a full-page picture of a chocolate and aqua-blue bed; the Trousseau bedding from the Martha Stewart Everyday Collection at Macy's; Designer's Guild; and Etro Home.
Better Homes and Gardens' October issue had one Hunter Douglas full-page ad.
Yves Delorme took two pages in the opening section of the November issue of Traditional Home, showcasing a red bedding ensemble and listing nationwide store locations. Hunter Douglas, Pierre Deux and Waverly, promoting its fabric line with Jo-Ann stores, all have one-page advertisements.
Blue-and-white bedding and fabric from Waverly is advertised in Country Living's November book. Trousseau bedding from the Martha Stewart Everyday Collection at Macy's is on the magazine’s inside back cover.
In House Beautiful's November issue, there are ads for Barbara Barry's line of fabric, wallpaper and trimmings with Kravet, the high-end Ankasa New York store, woven fabrics from Thibaut, Designer's Guild linens, basic bedding company Scandia Down, a blue-and-chocolate bed from Liz Claiborne Home, and two separate pages featuring MicroCotton towels.
Domino's November book has ads for Calvin Klein Home, featuring dinnerware and table linens; Hunter Douglas; and Liz Claiborne Home.
O at Home's fall issue has a two-page spread from Hunter Douglas and one-page advertisements for Waverly; Springmaid's Platinum Hotel collection of 600-thread count duvets, coverlets and more; and Tommy Hilfiger's home collection.
In its second-to-last issue, House & Garden, which folds in December, features ads from Anchini, Liz Claiborne Home, Nancy Koltes and the Trousseau bedding from the Martha Stewart Everyday Collection at Macy's.
