BLACK MOUNTAIN, N.C.–International Home Fabrics [IHF] and Domestic Fabrics Corp. [DFC] have reached a joint agreement whereby IHF will handle the sales and marketing of all DFC-produced merchandise to retailers.
IHF is a sales, marketing and design company that sells blankets, both conventional and electric, under the Cannon and Beautyrest names, along with Simmons-labeled electric blankets. The company is preparing to launch a line of sheets, mattress pads and blankets made with DFC’s patented Wick A’ Way construction, at next week’s February Home Textiles Market.
DFC manufactures home textiles and institutional products, and owns several patents. Before this agreement, the company had concentrated most of its business in the health-care industry. It also provided fabrics used by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration during astronaut training and space missions.
