NEW YORK–The New York chapter of the International Furnishings & Design Association will honor the winners of its biannual Circle of Excellence awards on Tuesday, May 4, at a cocktail reception at the Union League Club here.

The winners include:
•Charles Pavarini III of Charles Pavarini III Design Associates for interior design
•Kenneth Wampler of The Alpha Workshops, the special humanitarian award
•Benjamin Moore Co. as the retailer-to-the-trade resource
•Steelcase for green achievement
•The Smithsonian’s Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum for education
•Cindy Allen, editor-in-chief of Interior Design magazine, the media award

The cocktail reception is scheduled to take place from 6 to 8 p.m. The Circle of Excellence awards recognize individuals and organizations that demonstrate “exemplary initiative, achievement and leadership in the design and furnishing communities,” according to an IFDA statement.
