NEW YORK–The Home Fashion Products Association will hold its annual membership meeting on Thursday, Nov. 12 at the 7 W New York showroom building.
The meeting will include a presentation by Al Meyer, senior vice president of Retail Forward, who will speak on the fundamentals of the retail market in light of the recession and lagging consumer confidence. Meyer will offer insights on when the retail economy will improve, and which sectors will be positioned to take advantage once the recovery takes place.
A meeting of the HFPA board of directors will begin at 8:30 a.m. on that day, followed by a continental breakfast and networking session at 9 a.m. The association’s meeting will start at 9:30, followed by Meyer’s talk at 10.
