NEW YORK–The Home Fashion Products Association has changed the dates for upcoming New York home textiles market weeks. The show will begin following a March/September schedule, beginning this September.
The fall market week will begin on Monday, Sept. 15, and extend through Friday, Sept. 19. In 2009, the winter market will last from Monday, March 9, to Friday, March 13, and the fall market dates will be Monday, Sept. 14, to Friday, Sept. 18.
“The HFPA board is committed to selecting dates that best serve retailers and our membership,” said Barry Leonard, HFPA’s president and president and chief executive officer of Ex-Cell Home Fashions and Glenoit. “Over the past six months, the board and I have talked to members, retailers, media partners and key industry partners in an effort to balance various industry commitments and needs.”
These new dates will still not align with the temporary textiles show at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York.
