MANHASSET, N.Y.–Just in time for a luxurious holiday rush, Frette opened a 1,200-square-foot boutique at the upscale Americana mall here.
The Frette shop is a showcase for such items as the quality linens for which it is known. It joins neighbors at the mall including Chanel, Gucci, Van Cleef & Arpels. Accessories include items such as candles, soaps and fragrances.
“This is the first in a series of important steps for Frette that will span the next five to seven years,” said Paul Raffin, Frette’s chief executive officer. “The Americana Manhasset epitomizes luxury retailing at the highest level, and we are excited to be a part of such an esteemed format.”
The shop, created by architect Janson Goldstein, features a “luxury wall” designed to provide a hands-on experience of products, in addition to an appealing visual presentation. The area offers collections of cashmere blankets, silk and crushed velvet throws, and the limited-edition Helena Collection.
Raffin added that the company expects to make an announcement shortly “regarding an important new property we have targeted in Boston.” E-commerce is Frette’s fastest-growing channel, Raffin said. The company continues to partner with luxury hotels such as the Ritz Carlton.
Also new this holiday season from Frette is a holiday catalog filled with gift ideas, including an $85,000 sable throw. Last month, the company introduced the Frette Gift Card.
