ACWORTH, Ga.–Elke Abate, a retired executive with Messe Frankfurt’s U.S. office in Atlanta, has founded her own company, Modern German Lace, targeting high-end boutiques, specialty shops with bridal registries and museum shops.
The company has opened for business by importing lace products manufactured by Modespitze Plauen, which is based in Plauen, Germany. The products include tablecloths and short curtains. Standard sizes and custom orders are available.
