Yankee Contest to Mark Facebook Achievement

       

       

SOUTH DEERFIELD, Mass.-The Yankee Candle Company is planning an exclusive Facebook “March to a Million Golden Ticket Contest” and limited edition candle in anticipation of reaching one million Facebook fans.

The limited edition candle will be available for purchase through a special link on Facebook once the brand reaches one million fans. Although there is no purchase necessary to enter the contest, fans that purchase the exclusive candle are automatically entered into the drawing for the “March to a Million Golden Ticket Contest.” The contest winner will receive an exclusive three-day trip the company’s flagship store in South Deerfield, Mass., including a meet and greet with CEO Harlan Kent.

“We are continually excited and proud of the passion for our brand we see in fans and customers from around the world,” Kent said. He said the company has seen an 80 percent growth in its Facebook fans in the past year.

The winner of the “March to a Million Golden Ticket Contest” will be announced in a personalized video from Kent, which will be posted on the brand’s Facebook and Twitter accounts May 31, 2013.
