WHITE PLAINS, N.Y.–Retailers attending the New York International Gift Fair last week selected three products to receive the Eco-Choice Awards.
The awards are presented semi-annually by the Gift Fair and GREENRetailer magazine to “green” gift and home products showcased in the NYIGF SustainAbility: design for a better world display. The summer Gift Fair winners are:
•Emerson House by Brinca Dada, in which solar panels power 23 LED lights in a dollhouse, for Most Innovative
•On The Rocks by Sea Stones, drink chillers made with stone and wood (both of which are recyclable), for Most Sensitive Use of Materials
•Kitchen Basics by Bambu, kitchen implements made from certified organic bamboo, for Most Sellable
Christian Falkenberg, NYIGF manager and vice president of Gift Fair owner GLM, said the winning products “really resonated with the thousands of buyers who attended NYIGF.”
