Surtex Panel to Discuss Licensing Strategies in Tabletop, Home Decor

       

       

NEW YORK–The ins and outs of art licensing in the tabletop and home decor categories will be discussed by a panel of experts, moderated by HFN’s Allison Zisko, at the Surtex show here next Monday afternoon.

Toni Kemal, senior trend analyst for Lifetime Brands; Ingrid Liss, creative director for Demdaco; and Sue Todd, president of Magnet Works will share their views on product development as they search for art and design that resonate with their lines. The discussion will take place Monday, May 20 from 1:30-3 p.m. at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.

Topics will include whether the same designs translate across the tabletop, gift and home decor categories; how manufacturers select artwork and how long those patterns stay in a line; the role branding plays in the licensing marketplace; and the hottest trends in these categories.
