Sampson to Lead Marketing for California Gift Show
LOS ANGELES-Jeff Sampson, vice president of marketing for the L.A. Mart Design Center, has been designated to steward the branding of the California Gift Show.
In his new role, Sampson reports to Joan Ulrich, senior vice president of MMPI, owner and manager of the L.A. Mart and California Gift Show, and Mark Furlet, vice president and general manager of the L.A. Mart and the California Gift Show. Reporting to Sampson are Sara Dahlstrom, manager director of sales for the California Gift Show and The Chicago Market; Trisha Schultz, director of business development; Lefty Tsironis, marketing manager; and Nicole Rubino, marketing manager.
In an MMPI statement, Sampson said, "Beginning with our July 2011 market, our goal is to define the California Gift Show as a celebration of the creativity and innovation that places Los Angeles at the forefront of international product trends." Sampson also vowed to harness California's "iconic brand value and its next generation of product manufacturers, thereby creating a relevant, inspired buying experience for the modern retailer."
