UPPER SADDLE RIVER, N.J.–Hunter Douglas has received four awards in the 2008 MarCom Creative Awards competition.
The window-treatments manufacturer took three Platinum awards and one Gold award in four separate categories. Two of the Platinum awards came for its Fashion For Windows Summer Sale event, a promotion timed to offer savings to coincide with the warmer months, when consumers update their home decor. Hunter Douglas received a third Platinum award for its Custom Shutter Collection Poster Series, which was designed to help both retailers and consumers understand the features and benefits of the Custom Shutter collection brands—Heritance, NewStyle and Palm Beach.
The company received a Gold award for its consumer print advertising campaign highlighting Duette Architella honeycomb shades and Pirouette window shadings. Hunter Douglas debuted this campaign in fall 2008 to spotlight the energy-efficiency benefits of the Duette Architella shades and the construction and design of the Pirouette line.
The MarCom Awards is an international competition that recognizes outstanding achievements in the concept, writing and design of marketing and communication programs in print, visual and audio materials.
