CHARLESTON, S.C.–The decorative accessories industry conference, ART Conference 2008, will feature a full program of business and design trend seminars, as well as hands-on workshops and networking opportunities.
To be held Aug. 21 to 24 at Charleston Place Hotel, the ART Conference offers something for all industry segments—manufacturers, retailers, designers, visual merchandisers, sales representatives, market centers and press members.
To kick off the conference, Warren Shoulberg, editor and associate publisher of HFN, will offer a dose of clarity and realism in his “State of the Industry” address. Patricia Bouley, of Bouley Design Inc., will examine emerging directions in color, style, material and more. Pat Mayfield, of Pat Mayfield Consulting, will present two sessions: “Negotiating Toolbox,” the benefits of and strategies used in negotiating, and “The Power of Body Language and Observations,” including how to interpret body language and other non-verbal cues.
