HALEYVILLE, Ala.–Winston Furniture is back on its feet and thriving in the aftermath of a tornado that damaged part of its facilities here in April.
The company, a division of Brown Jordan International, has already rebuilt its administrative offices, increased production and sales, and has earmarked additional capital resources to support its increase in market share, the company said earlier this week.
The company continued its scheduled plan to move a department from its Juarez, Mexico manufacturing facility back to the region. The Haleyville office is comprised of five divisions – customer service, credit, traffic, quality and engineering.
“We have accomplished so much in these past few months,” read a statement from the company. “Although this has been a challenging time, our company has made significant strides on a number of fronts in enhancing our national stature as a key player in the outdoor furniture marketplace.”
Most recently, the company reported “a marked volume increase nationwide” in sales in both the retail and contract hospitality sectors, which it attributed to enhanced product offerings, and has previewed its 2011-12 collections to its dealers, resulting in “significant” orders for the upcoming season.
