HIGH POINT, N.C.–Theodore Alexander, the furniture company based here, has set up its own sales and distribution operation for North America, replacing a previous relationship with Sherrill Furniture.
The newly created company, Theodore Alexander USA Inc., officially takes over on Jan. 4, 2010, handling sales, marketing and distribution for the brand. It will maintain its showroom and offices here.
Sherrill had handled those responsibilities for the past 12 years and many of the systems and personnel will move over to Theodore Alexander. Warehousing and shipping functions will be outsourced to the Sherrill facility that had handled those areas previously.
The new company is led by Harvey Dondero, as chief executive officer, along with senior vice president of sales David Koehler, Doug Jermyn, operations manager, and Toni Tallent, customer service manager.
