HOUSTON—Paul Stork—who co-founded Mattress Firm with Steve Fendrich and Harry Roberts in 1986—has come back to the retailer as manager of franchising.

All three founders have returned to the company since the beginning of last year. In January 2010, Roberts rejoined Mattress Firm as a consultant in franchise development, and Fendrich came on board last September as chief strategy officer.

In his new post, Stork oversees the day-to-day operations of current franchise owners, and will pursue new franchise markets and implement best practices across the Mattress Firm network. He has succeeded Jason Goodman, who has been promoted to the newly created position of director of multichannel business development. Goodman is in charge of the multichannel sales department and maintains his oversight and overall responsibility over the franchising department, working with Stork and Roberts in the latter role. Stork reports to Goodman.
