Showplace to Mark Anniversary at High Point Market

HIGH POINT, N.C.–Showplace, the showroom building, will celebrate its 10th anniversary in business at the upcoming High Point Market.

The building has arranged for a large cake that will be a representation of the showroom building, which first opened at the market 10 years ago. It will hold a cake-cutting ceremony on Oct. 18 at 2:10 p.m., which will be attended by High Point Mayor Rebecca Smothers and industry and community notables.

The celebration will begin at 8:30 a.m. that morning with breakfast in the Atrium and live entertainment. There will also be cupcakes on every floor and giveaways of the iPod Nano at 10 minutes after every hour beginning at 10:10 a.m. When the cake is cut, the building will give away a grand prize—a 32-gigabyte iPad.
