NEW YORK–Ralph Lauren Home announced yesterday that it has licensed its Lauren Ralph Lauren furniture brand to Schnadig International Corp.
The upstairs Ralph Lauren brand is licensed to E.J. Victor, which debuted its initial introductions earlier this year.
Previously both brands had been licensed to Henredon.
In announcing the Schnadig license, Ralph Lauren did not say when products would be introduced or any details on design or pricing. Schnadig has the license for both upholstery and case goods.
Jeff Young, chairman and chief executive officer of Schnadig, which was bought in January by the Chinese furniture company Markor International, said, “We are excited about sharing the prestige of Lauren Ralph Lauren” and called it another step in the “evolution” of the company.
Frank Guzzetta, president of Ralph Lauren Home, said, “We are pleased to have a partner that truly understands Lauren Home and the lifestyle that is so important to the integrity of the brand.”
