HIGH POINT. N.C. -- Schnadig International has brought on two executives and promoted a third to create what it calls its “strategic development team,” which will be led by Jeff Young, president and CEO of the company, which was acquired earlier this year by Markor, the big Chinese furniture concern.
Joining Schnadig are Lenwood Rich, senior vice president of business development, and Phil Pfiefer, who will head up international sales efforts. They are joined by Jeff Katz, currently vice president of sales, who will now be senior vice president of business development. Katz has been with the company for three years, with close to 30 years of experience in the industry, including on both the vendor and retail sides.
Rich was most recently president of Drexel Heritage Furniture, which Young had run. He will focus on the company’s better brands, including Schnadig Home, Compositions and its new Caracole line. Katz will concentrate on what the company calls its “value driven” brands, including Schnadig and Lauren Ralph Lauren.
Young, in commenting about the new management of the company, said, “This is the team that will help Schnadig further differentiate itself and truly place us in a class of our own.”
