HIGH POINT, N.C.–The Top Floor of the Suites at Market Square will be home to a new trend center at the spring High Point Market, which runs from April 7 to 13.
The trend center, called Amazed, is designed as a maze of distinct rooms with displays of ideas designed to inspire designers, retailers and manufacturers to rethink and rejuvenate their business.
Visitors will learn about the shifting values and cultural changes that are altering the way people furnish the space in which they live, including how technological advancements, food and fashion are impacting today’s homes and influencing buying habits of today’s home furnishings consumers.
“This is not your typical display of product trends but more conceptual, stimulating personal interpretation,” said Karen Olson, vice president of marketing for Merchandise Mart Properties Inc.,
The Amazed concept was developed by Lynn Carroll of Covet, Mike Farrell of Imagine adventures and Merchandise Mart Properties Inc. The Amazed trend center will be a regular feature at future High Point markets, although the content of the area will change each market, according to MMPI.
