HIGH POINT, N.C.–Buyers arriving at the Market Square and Suites at Market Square complex next month at the furniture market will continue to be greeted by updated interiors.
MMPI, owners of the showroom complex, announced the next steps in their ongoing renovation of the property, a process that began at the spring market earlier this year with a new Suites lobby. This time around, Market Square will get a renovated courtyard, a redesigned High Street registration lobby and a newly redone restaurant, The Factory, including an outdoor patio.
The buildings will also get new signage throughout, improved cell phone and wireless services, flat-panel televisions in the hallways and a new sound system at the Suites entrance.
“Every aspect of this project has been thoughtfully considered to exceed the expectations of every visitor to the complex,” said Tim McGee, senior vice president and general manager for MMPI High Point.
The next stage in the renovation of the property will be unveiled at the April 2010 market when the first two floors of the Suites will be reconfigured and new flooring installed. There will also be a new corridor from the Commerce Street entrance leading straight to the permanent showrooms in Market Square. Finally, a new juried area called Salon will debut to showcase design-driven home products.
