Mobel to Make High Point Market Debut
HIGH POINT, N.C.-Solid-wood bedroom and occasional producer Mobel will exhibit for the first time at High Point Market at the upcoming event, scheduled for Oct. 13-18.
The Ferdinand, Ind.-based manufacturer will show its line in a 2,679-square-foot showroom in the IHFC's Design Wing, Space 1035.
"During our 41-year history, we've shown at a few regional markets, but never in High Point," said Ken Lamkin, president. Previously, the company has focused its marketing efforts on direct sales. "However, today's marketplace is so competitive, we realized we need a presence in High Point. Retailers make most of their buying decisions based on what they see at markets, so it's important that we keep our products in front of customers."
At the October market, Mobel is adding two table collections to its Solutions occasional line--a transitional design and a rustic group. The Solutions program also includes television stands.
In addition, the company is adding a new bedroom group with a clean, straight-lined lifestyle flavor in two finishes. Case pieces incorporate a soft-close, ball-bearing drawer guide system with finished drawers and English dovetailing. Mobel currently offers six bedrooms in a range of transitional and traditional styling.
