HIGH POINT, N.C.–The new Shabby Chic upholstery line from Miles Talbott Furniture will debut in April, adding to the relaunch of the brand to the wholesale trade.
Earlier this year, GuildMaster got the license to produce accent and decorative furniture for the brand, known for its mix of California casual and British traditional, best exemplified by its signature slip covered sofa.
Shabby Chic, which was acquired by Brand Sense Partners in 2009, has been rebuilding the brand and its product line following a period of financial difficulties under prior owners. “The Shabby Chic brand is one of the truly iconic home furnishings brands of the past 20 years,” said Ramez Toubassy, president of Brand Sense.
“The Shabby Chic brand is a fabulous addition to our assortment,” said George Jordan, president of Miles Talbott, which also holds the B. Smith license for upholstery. The new line will include leather and fabric covers in both new and classic Shabby Chic designs.
The line will be shown at the Miles Talbott showroom on English Road in High Point, as well as in the InterHall space in the IHFC and the GuildMaster showroom in the C&D Building.
