HIGH POINT, N.C.–Tim McGee has been named senior vice president and general manager of the office here of Merchandise Mart Properties Inc.
The appointment puts McGee in charge of all aspects of MMPI’s High Point properties, including Market Square, The Suites at Market Square, Plaza Suites, Furniture Plaza and National Furniture Mart. Reporting to McGee are Karen Olson, vice president of marketing; Steve Johnson, vice president of administration; Mike Snider, vice president of operations; and 25 other employees.
McGee reports to Christopher Kennedy, MMPI’s president, and succeeds Tom Mitchell, who has become president and chief executive officer of the International Home Furnishings Center.

McGee joined MMPI as director of leasing in 2000. He left the company in 2004 to become vice president of leasing at Showplace, but returned in October 2007 as vice president of leasing.
