Magnussen to Debut Home Stores at Dongguan Chinese Market

HIGH POINT, N.C.–Magnussen Home Furnishings will unveil its complete home store concept for the Chinese market and its international product marketing program at the Chinese Home Furnishings show in Dongguan, China, this month.
 
Magnussen will present a complete home furnishings store concept called the “American Dream Home” with bedroom, dining room, occasional, upholstery and accessories at its new showroom in Dongguan during the market, which runs March 16-20. The showroom will emulate its flagship store’s smallest format of 1,900 square feet. The largest store of 3,000 square feet will be displayed at an additional showroom across the street that will be used as a model store and will debut product introductions throughout the year. The Dongguan showroom will also be used for global sales and marketing to other retailers in countries in Asia and the Middle East.

Magnussen plans to open its Chinese flagship store in Shanghai in May and then plans to open 100 additional home stores over the next three years in all of China’s major cities that account for populations of five million people and over. These stores will be exclusive for the Chinese market. Product for the Chinese market will be targeted towards the top income earners and will range in the mid to upper price points, according to Magnussen.
