LAS VEGAS–The winter version of the Las Vegas Market opens today, featuring a new Gift+Home section with new and expanded showrooms, more high-end home decor suppliers and a completely updated categorization of temporary exhibits into 10 distinct, themed product sections. More than 70 exhibitors in furniture, home décor and gift will be hosting special ribbon cutting ceremonies over the next three days. The show runs through Feb. 1.
Here are some events/highlights scheduled for Monday:
The “Road to Emerald” is a special presentation at this Las Vegas Market, co-presented by Pantone and Houzz and inspired by Pantone’s color of the year. Located in the first floor of Building C, the showcase will feature three lifestyle concepts using products from current and future Las Vegas Market tenants, against the backdrop of recent Pantone color picks: Emerald, Tangerine Tango and Honeysuckle.
Designer Barry Dixon will be in the Arteriors showroom (B-360) until 2 p.m. today for a champagne reception to celebrate his new line.
Nova Lighting (A-355) is offering attendees complimentary drinks and hors d’oeuvres until 3:30 p.m. today in honor of its new winter collection.
From 3-5 p.m. today, Nourison (C-112) will host a book signing and party with Barclay Butera, and which will benefit victims of Hurricane Sandy.
Kas Rugs (B-175) will have a ribbon cutting and party for its new showroom from 4-6 p.m. today. And Mohawk will celebrate the relaunch of its American Rug Craftsmen brand today starting at 4 p.m., in the Karastan showroom, C-312.
The Phillips Collection (A-202) will host its industry mixer from 4-6 p.m., allowing attendees to network and socialize.
From 4:30-6 p.m., AF Lighting (A-406) and designer Angelo Surmelis will host a party to launch his new colorful line with the company.
Every day of market, from 4-6 p.m., the floors of Gift + Home (C3, C4, C5, C6, C7, C8 and C9) and Furniture (A9, B2, B6, B7, B11, C14 and C15) will offer attendees cocktails and hors d’oeuvres.
Tonight, from 6-8 p.m., the World Market Center’s opening night entertainment in the Grand Plaza will feature Latin and salsa music from the Trop Boom Band.
