LAS VEGAS–The Las Vegas Design Center at World Market Center Las Vegas will play host to the Interior Design Society’s National Leadership Conference Jan. 22-23.

The event will comprise a semiformal awards ceremony at the Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino on Jan. 22, and a workshop on Jan. 23 at the Design Center. The workshop will provide information on business strategies and leadership insights into how to grow a business using “green” products, what it takes to satisfy challenging clients, and how to introduce a social-media marketing initiative. Steve Nobel, author and consultant on marketing to luxury consumers, will deliver a keynote address on marketing to affluent shoppers.

The conference will conclude with a products preview and cocktail reception with Monica Pedersen, co-host of HGTV’s “Dream Home Giveaway 2011” on Jan. 23. Las Vegas Market will open the following day and will take place through Jan. 28.
