MONROE, Mich.–La-Z-Boy Inc. has made several management changes in its residential sales and marketing areas.
Greg White was appointed senior vice president of sales and merchandising, a new post in which he will oversee all sales and merchandising functions, as well as real estate and customer service. He reports to Kurt L. Darrow, president and chief executive officer of La-Z-Boy.
White, who has served the company since 1988 in various capacities, previously was vice president of merchandising since 1997, with the additional responsibilities for sales since 2004.
Steve Matlock, who is moving back to the West Coast, has been named to the new role of vice president, retail development, from his former post as senior vice president of sales and marketing. Matlock reports to White and will work with the company’s independent La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries dealers to provide strategic direction and support to improve their performance.
Doug Collier will continue in his role as chief marketing officer, reporting to Darrow. In this capacity, Collier is responsible for coordinating all La-Z-Boy brand initiatives globally throughout the corporation, including leading all marketing strategies and programs for La-Z-Boy Residential and the La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries system.
The changes will make La-Z-Boy’s management “leaner,” Darrow said in a statement.
