NEW YORK–Kartell, best known for its modern furniture, has launched Dune, a line of serving trays created by Mario Bellini.
Made from semi-transparent, batch-dyed technopolymer thermoplastic, the Dune trays “offer a chromatic intensity and luminosity that creates a striking, dramatic visual effect,” according to the company. “Inspired by everything from the waves of the sea to the shimmering reflections of silk, Bellini created these rainbow-colored trays as a way to re-imagine a design object that is often overlooked.”
The Dune trays are available in two sizes and in a wide range of colors including crystal, smoke, yellow, purple, red, orange and blue.
