KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa.–The International Furnishings and Design Association has launched its newest chapter, which serves the Southern California region from its office in Solana Beach, Calif.
Rita Orland, owner of Wings, Inc. Design, is the new chapter’s president. Designcorp International in Solana Beach serves as the chapter’s center for meetings and events. Chris Jordan, owner of Designcorp, has debuted a program that provides discounted purchasing as an added benefit to the chapter’s members, as well as the design community around San Diego.
An event to open the new chapter was held Aug. 20 during the West Coast Interiors Expo at the San Diego Convention Center. The next event is Designcorp’s Rocktoberfest, which is scheduled for 5 to 8 p.m. Oct. 23.
