Changes are afoot within wall decor, as some manufacturers at High Point will break into the category for the first time to complement their product lines. Other companies will debut new showrooms or recently acquired companies.
Paragon is set to show the market its new line—and acquisition, Kinder-Harris, the high-end wall art, lamp and accessory manufacturer it bought last month. Kinder-Harris’ product line will be relaunched at market, introducing 350 new products in Paragon’s International Home Furnishings Center’s #C203 showroom, along with 200 new items from Paragon.
Dimond, a division of E.L.K. Lighting that debuted a year ago, has added mirrors to its assortment. With more than 50 designs, the mirrors complement its portable lighting, and include such design styles as traditional, Baroque, Neoclassical, Venetian, transitional, and contemporary. Many designs will also feature etched patterns and beveled details.
Surya continues its product extensions with its new home decor accessories at market, and which will include wall decor. The new category “strengthens our position with the furniture industry,” Seth King, vice president, sales and marketing, told HFN. The initial collection is manufactured in Mexico, but eventually products will come from India and China as well.
Other companies already in wall decor will add new styles this time around. Howard Elliot’s group of more than 40 introductions will include artistic wall decor items with a painterly quality. For Artisan House, introductions focus mainly on steel pieces with some copper and bronze accents, with less color and flame-treatment than before.
New showrooms will also debut. Wall decor company the Artists Guild of America will unveil its second showroom at High Point. Located in #H435 in the IHFC’s Hamilton Wing, the new showroom is in addition to the company’s existing showroom in Showplace, #3123.
Classy Art will show in two new places with other companies. The first showroom is with furniture company Crown Mark at 200 East Green, and the second is with Solflex in the Furniture Plaza #505.
