DALLAS–The Home Furnishings Independents Association has partnered with CEPA Technologies to introduce software that enables consumers to shop for furniture online.
Called LiveAction Personal Shopper, the software enables retailers to display their products on their Web sites in an interactive audio and video format, while shoppers follow the retailers through the store on their home computers. Consumers can ask questions as the sales associates walk their cameras through the store, and can work with the associates to narrow product selection. LiveAction Personal Shopper also allows shoppers to interact with online room planners, go through online catalogs and thus do much of the legwork before coming into the store to make the purchase.
CEPA will have a display at the upcoming High Point Market, adjacent to the HFIA booth in the atrium of the Furniture Plaza building, where they will demonstrate the service during the market. Also, HFIA members will receive a free 30-day trial of LiveAction Personal Shopper.
