Furniture Society to Hold Benefit Auction at Architectural Digest Show

       

       

NEW YORK–Asheville, N.C.-based Furniture Society will hold its annual benefit auction for the first time in New York City at the Architectural Digest Home Design Show (ADHDS) on March 19, from 5-7 p.m. at Pier 94.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with the Architectural Digest Home Design Show” said Katherine Sharp, chair of the Auction Committee. “This will be an unprecedented opportunity for our organization to reach a wider audience of interior design industry professionals and sophisticated consumers.”
 
The list of items to be presented at the live auction after the reception includes work by Garry Knox Bennett, Wendell Castle, Michael Fortune, Vladimir Kagan, John Makepeace, Sam Maloof Workshop, Judy Mckie, Po Shun Leong, Silas Kopf, Tommy Simpson and Bill Keyser.
 
A silent auction also will be held during the run of the ADHDS, March 17-20, featuring works by some 19 Furniture Society artisan and designer members. The winners of the silent auction will be announced on Sunday, March 20.
