ST. LOUIS–Furniture Brands International said it will expand its licensing program beyond Thomasville to include several other of its leading brands, including Lane, Broyhill, Drexel Heritage and Henredon to home furnishings segments that complement its furniture.
The licensing initiative will be led by Shelley Peters, Furniture Brands’ director of licensing, who most recently was leader of Thomasville’s brand licensing operations. Under Peters’ direction, the Thomasville brand was expanded into residential flooring, lighting and kitchen cabinets. Peters will now coordinate licensing opportunities for not only Thomasville, but Lane, Broyhill, Drexel Heritage and Henredon.
Ralph P. Scozzafava, chairman and chief executive officer, said a robust licensing program “increases consumer awareness for our core furniture offerings and creates an additional income stream that provides a tangible return on our brand equity.”
