DUBUQUE, Iowa–Flexsteel plans to build a new corporate office building in Port of Dubuque beginning in July.
The facility, pending approvals from state and local government entities, is scheduled for completion in summer 2012. Costing $12 million, it will measure 40,000 feet over four stories, and will be designed to be energy-efficient and environmentally friendly. It will display Flexsteel’s product lines including the DMI commercial-office, Flexsteel hospitality and home-furnishings collections.
Ron Klosterman, president and CEO, said the move would take Flexsteel from its current location at North Jackson Street here, where it has been sited since 1936. “After 75 years, the office facility is out of date both structurally and technologically,” Klosterman said. “Over business has changed over the past 118 years and continues to evolve.”
