LAS VEGAS—Designer Monica Pedersen and home-products/trends editor Julie Smith Vincenti presented their views of key trends and products at Las Vegas Market in a First Look seminar held Monday.

Focusing on color, Pedersen and Smith Vincenti said the new decorative accessories featured at the market are showing a more adventurous approach to color. Among the more popular colors this year will be purple, neutrals and honeysuckle, which Pedersen said she has used on a sofa and chaise.

In addition, Pedersen said she always tries to introduce eco-friendly accessories to her clients. Smith Vincenti suggested that designers involve their clients in the design process, adding that those designers who do “will be rewarded handsomely.”
