Expanded, Relocated Outdoor Living Showroom to Debut at January Dallas Market

       

       

DALLAS–Dallas Market Center has announced that buyers who want to capture their share of the $6 billion outdoor industry will be able to source merchandise in the expanded Outdoor Living shared showroom during the Dallas Total Home & Gift Market, Jan. 19-25, 2011.

The grand re-opening of the 31,000-square-foot showroom, which is relocating to the International Trade Plaza (formerly the International Floral & Gift Center) will include special events, seminars, refreshment hospitalities and prize giveaways.

“The expansion of the Outdoor Living shared showroom is our response to the increasing consumer demand for fully appointed exterior living environments,” said Cindy Morris, chief operating officer, Dallas Market Center. “This new destination will create an exciting new synergy with other International Trade Plaza showrooms that offer complementary home and garden accessory products.”

Exhibitors at the Outdoor Living area include Antonini Outdoor, BluWorld, Crestwood Garden Collection, Dar Lee Corporation,  Designer’s Patio, Hansen Casual, Innova Hearth & Home, Jackson Pottery, Meadow Decor, Orlandi Statuary, Rakar Fine Art, Ratana Home & Floral, Red Carpet Studios, Seasonal Living, Skyline Design, Star Imports, Somerset Outdoor Living, Telescope Casual Furniture, Texoma Marketing, Unique Stone and Upper Deck.

In addition to several mini-clinics provided by Outdoor Living vendors, there will be two one-hour seminars. Robin Avni, one of the nation’s leading experts on consumer behavior, will present “Beyond the Back Door” at 10 a.m., Jan. 20, in the Seasons Gallery.

Norman Hamilton, publisher of Casual Living magazine, will present “What the Outdoor Living Customer Wants” at 2 p.m., Jan. 22, in the Seasons Gallery. Casual category forecasts show significant growth over the next several years as more homeowners embrace home resorts and staycations. Hamilton will share the results of studies conducted with HGTV viewers and Casual Living readers about the outdoor furnishings industry.

There will also be an Outdoor Living ribbon cutting ceremony at 9 a.m., Jan. 22, and a Super Bowl Tailgate Party starting at 5 p.m., Jan. 21.

Outdoor Living is part of the Dallas Total Home & Gift Market (Jan. 19-25) which is multiple markets held simultaneously so that buyers may select from a wide range of product categories: Dallas Holiday & Home Expo (Jan. 19-25), Dallas International Lighting Market (Jan. 20-24), and FINDS Dallas Temp Show (Jan.  21-24). The entire market offers more than 25,000 lines of products.
